Abnormal phenomena in ferrotitanium smelting
1) When wet charge is doped with charge, boiling occurs, furnace gas escapes unevenly, and a large amount of charge is emitted; Magnesia contains water for sand nest also has the phenomenon of spraying material.
2) The mixture of charge is not uniform, and the smelting is not uniform.
3) Low heat distribution per unit, slow reaction, long smelting time. The reason is that the reducing agent is not enough, the caloric value is low, or the preheating temperature of the furnace charge is low, forming the cold stroke of smelting, the bottom of the iron ingot is more sticky slag, more iron grains in the slag or iron ingot fusion is not good, more loose or slag inclusion.
4) High unit heat or preheating temperature, violent reaction, slag agitation, resulting in slag spray, iron ingot hard not easy to break, iron ingot high aluminum content, production reduction.
Factors affecting titanium recovery in high titanium iron smelting
1) With the increase of unit heat preparation, the recovery rate of titanium increases. However, the recovery of titanium decreased when the heat reached 3250kj/kg.
2) Under the condition of constant unit heat of mixing, the recovery rate of titanium increases with the increase of lime mixing amount, but too much lime mixing reduces the melting point of slag, the reaction temperature and the recovery rate of titanium.
3) Upper ignition, titanium recovery can reach more than 73%.
4) The finer the aluminum particle size, the higher the recovery rate of titanium, the larger the aluminum particle size in addition to the reduction of the recovery rate, the aluminum content of the alloy also increased.
